Professional Experience

Pierre Thielen is mainly handling corporate and financial law matters. As director of several private equity companies, he has acquired expert knowledge in the fields of acquisitions and restructurings.

A seasoned litigator, he regularly intervenes in complex corporate matters, shareholder disputes and liability litigation.

His personal and professional skills have let him to be elected President of the Luxembourg Bar Association in 2001.

• President of the Luxemburg Bar Association in 2001-2002
• Member of the Luxembourg Bar Disciplinary Council 2007-2015

Arbitration Experience

As Arbitrator:
6 arbitrations (ad hoc, ICC rules, UNCITRAL rules) as (4 arbitrations as co-arbitrator in international proceedings, 1 arbitration as Chair and 1 arbitration as sole arbitrator) in construction, corporate, banking, shareholder and contract disputes.

As Counsel:
3 arbitrations in international proceedings (ad hoc, Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution rules (SCAI), ICC rules) in contract, corporate and shareholder disputes.
